SportsBoss builds sport-specific coaching technology. We are the parent company of MatBoss and TrackBoss, and we grow the portfolio deliberately.
Our roots
SportsBoss began in 2015 as MatBoss, a coaching platform for high school and college wrestling built by people who came out of the sport. Two of the founders wrestled through college. One had already spent years running wrestling media. The fourth was a software architect.
At the time, match video lived in one place and scoring lived in another, and coaches spent their evenings reconciling the two. MatBoss put them in a single workflow. It became a staple in programs across the country, and an official TrackWrestling integration made it part of how the sport actually operates.
Track and field came next. Not because it was adjacent, but because the method transferred: learn one sport completely, then build only for it. TrackBoss launched on that principle and is now in the hands of coaches managing sprints, throws, jumps, and distance.
SportsBoss was formed in 2025 to hold both brands and to do it again. One sport at a time.

Coaching technology tends to get built for the largest markets first and adapted outward from there. A platform designed around football grows a wrestling module. A system built for team sports grows a track and field tab. The sport that came second can always tell.
We work the other direction. We pick one sport, learn how its coaches actually work, and engineer around that reality. Then we do it again for the next sport.
It is a slower way to build a portfolio. It produces better products.
How we build
Every platform begins with a single sport and a blank page, not an existing codebase looking for a new market.
We spend time in the sport’s language, season, and scoring before we design anything.
Every feature gets filtered through one question: does this make a coach’s job easier?
Programs depend on these tools across a full season and the seasons after it. We move deliberately.

Leadership
Co-Founder, President
Jeremy wrestled in high school and college, competing on Augsburg’s national championship teams in 1995, 1997, and 1998. He co-founded RevWrestling, which owned and operated InterMat from 2004 to 2021, and has spent his career as a technology executive.
Co-Founder, Marketing
Eric leads brand and growth across the portfolio. He spent years in advertising and digital marketing at Minneapolis agencies before co-founding MatBoss, with work spanning brand development, search, social, and direct marketing.
Co-Founder, Business Development
Tyler wrestled at the high school, national, and collegiate levels and leads sales and business development. He works directly with coaches and programs, which keeps the roadmap honest about what each sport actually needs.
Technology
Shawn is a software architect and electrical engineer with more than 25 years building applications, websites, and automated systems for major brands. He owns the technical architecture behind both platforms.
